Vehicular attack targets shopping street in N. Belgium

A terrorist behind the wheel of a vehicle with French license plates attempted to run down pedestrians on a main shopping street in the Belgian city of Antwerp on Thursday afternoon. Nobody was injured and the driver was arrested by police. The Belgian press identified him as an illegal immigrant. Sources close to the investigation said that weapons were found when a bomb squad checked the vehicle.
