Video shows armed man who entered White House grounds shot, arrested
The US Secret Service, which is responsible for the protection of the president and the White House, released a video on Wednesday from White House security cameras showing a man armed with a handgun walking within the grounds after passing the first security gate. The incident happened May 20 when 31-year-old Jessie Olivieri from Pennsylvania arrived in his car at an adjacent parking area, fired several shots and started advancing toward the main gate. He passed by the first security checkpoint but as he approached the gate, and did not heed calls by policemen to stop, he was shot in the chest from close range, subdued and arrested.
