Violent right-wing coup foiled in Germany
Federal Justice Minister Buschmann said on Wednesday that raids across Germany foiled a terrorist plot by a radical group that included a former judge preparing a violent putsch to restore “the German Reich (1871-1945).” Some 3,000 police officers were on duty in eleven federal states as 25 suspected plotters were arrested. Some had trained with weapons to violently overthrow the elected government in Berlin and in states across the country.
