Wanted British “White Widow” terrorist reported killed in US air strike
Former punk rock singer, Sally Jones, said to be the world’s most wanted female Islamist terrorist, has reportedly been killed in a US drone strike near the Syrian-Iraqi border. Dubbed the “White Widow,” she fled to Syria from Britain in 2013 to marry ISIS fighter Junaid Hussain from Birmingham with her 11-year old son. She was believed to have been living in Raqqa. Under the pseudonym of Umm Hussain al-Britani, Jones was said to have been in charge of training all European female recruits, or “muhajirat.” As head of the secretive female wing of the Anwar al-Awlaki battalion, a unit founded by her late husband, she recruited and prepared foreign jihadists for terrorist attacks in the West.
A British official commented: “The Americans zapped her trying to get away from Raqqa. Quite frankly, it’s good riddance.”
