Iron Dome intercepts unidentified flying object over the Golan

An unidentified flying object was downed by an Iron Dome anti-rocket battery Thursday afternoon when it entered Israeli air space over the Golan. Rocket alert sirens sent four Golan communities running to bomb shelters and safe rooms. A search is underway for the fallen object which it is suspected of being a drone of some kind from Syrian. The IDF spokesman later called the incident a false alarm. However, witnesses saw the interception of an object which then dropped into the Sea of Galilee to the south.

Hobbyists. You can find them the world over. Even with WW3 looming, there are amateur radio controlled aircraft pilots itching to try out their newly constructed miniature version of a Fokker Bi-plane. Forgive them for they know not what they do.
