World leaders congratulate Biden as incoming US president
As soon as Joe Biden was acclaimed 46th US president, the first congratulations came in from UK PM Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Canadian PM Justin Trudeau, as well as the heads of the European Union.
Kamala Harris shared prominently in the congratulatory messages as the first US woman vice president.
