Yemeni president bows to rebel terms to ease crisis in capital
Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi’s office stated Wednesday night that he had agreed to introduce amendments and changes to a draft of a new constitution and appoint pro-Iranian Shiite Houthi rebel representatives to state bodies. The statement followed his meeting with senior advisers including a Houthi representative, while his home was under rebel siege. Thursday morning, Aden’s air and sea ports reopened for business.
