Yom Kippur passes without incident

The Day of Atonement, the holiest Jewish festival of the year, passed this year without incident.  Security was heavily reinforced to preserve the calm, which prevailed across the country and along its borders. Closure of the West Bank will be lifted at midnight. Ramped-up security measures will be sustained for the three-day Muslim Eid festival which starts Wednesday night, and the Jewish Succot next week.
