Zichron Yaacov and Caesarea – south of Haifa – get first rockets
The Mt. Carmel town of Zichron Yaakov, 140 north of the Gaza Strip, and Caesarea on the coast were hit by Hamas rockets Wednesday, the most distant targets in its current offensive. One person was injured by shrapnel. A volley of 10 Grad rockets was aimed at Kiryat Gath. Three were blown up in midair by an Iron Dome battery. Palestinians were focusing their attacks Wednesday afternoon on the Lachish and Shear Hanegev regions as well as the towns of Ashkelon and Sderot.
