Netanyahu complains about UNIFIL’s inaction to UN Secretary

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu complained on Wednesday to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres that UNIFIL had fallen down on its job of monitoring violations of UNSC Resolution 1701 on the Lebanese-Israeli border. DEBKAfile: Netanyahu demanded answers from the UN Secretary as to why the UN monitors disregarded Hizballah’s digging of terror tunnels under the border. His call to Guterres was in line with a joint US-Israeli plan agreed between Netanyahu and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo when they met in Brussels on Sunday, to either force UNIFIL to perform its mission or have it removed.

The topic at hand is Israel and Lebanon.

The point was do you not find it humorous that one of the worlds greatest human rights abusers is crying to the UN about another party not abiding by its agreement.

Sure UNIFIL may have missed the tunneling if the tunnels exist oof cause. Israel has no honor and deceiving is what it does best.

So the real question is if Israel knew about these tunnels for so long did they report the tunnel locations to UNIFIL?

If not why not? Does Israel not have an obligation to report violations?

Second question is it possible that these are Israeli tunnels for infiltration into Lebanon?

Do not touch Hezbollah “tunnels”, don’t you dare to call them “tunnels”!

All Hezbollah tunnels are places of religion, dedicated only for prayer and meditation. Look at their direction: it is South, it is the Quibla the direction to the Kaaba! Oooooh, you kafir, you! We shall discuss this sacrilege in a General Assembly shortly!

Prime Minister Netanyahu is just playing the UN game: pretend interest and cooperation while managing your country the way it should be managed. By this ploy he (mostly) keeps the prevailing leftist demonic spirit of world opinion silenced.
The PM is smarter than all the UN leftists combined.

There are some real nut cases posting in response to every DEBKA article. Today’s crowning jewel belongs to one William Teller whose posts keep repeating, in capital letters, something having to do with an “In Motion Go Code” that he seems to be hung up on, having some sort of apocryphal meaning. I can’t figure out what this guy, with his meandering verbiage is trying to say, nor, I suspect, can anyone else. I wish these people, if at all possible, would be able to articulate clear, concise and to the point whatever idea they are trying to get across than to fill these posts with blather.

Till now Israel did not show any palpable proof there is any tunnel. Two explanations: Netanyahu is creating this bruhaha to evade the police charges or he is trying to incite Hizballah into action!?

So Israel daily violates the very same UNSC resolution they’re complaining and accusing Hezbollah of violating? Isn’t violating Lebanese airspace or bombing that country a violation? How about occupying Lebanese and Syrian territory? I feel bad for the common Israeli who’s life will suffer in the coming war from Hezbollah’s missiles.
