Pakistan: India using Israeli-made Spice 200 in Kashmir missile attacks

The Indian Air Force Mirages striking Pakistani targets in Kashmir are using Israeli-made Spice 200 missiles, say military sources in Islamabad. This missile weighing 1,000 kg. is armed with pre-fed GPS coordinates operating with infrared rays for high precision. Its range is 6-150km
The guidance kit, developed by the Israeli Rafael company, enables the missile to beam continuous images of the target until it is struck and correct its trajectory in mid-flight by means of folding winglets and fins. The Pakistani sources disclosed that the Indian Air Force used Spice 200s to bomb the camp of the Pakistani terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad, which carried out a suicide attack on an Indian military bus in Kashmir killing 44 border guards. This was the deadliest terror attack ever perpetrated in the disputed territory.
After Pakistan closed its air space during clashes between the two nuclear powers engaged in clashes, a number of Asian airlines were forced to cancel flights. Since Pakistani is an important air transit hub from the Far East to Europe, many thousands of passengers from Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh and Japan were left stranded in mid-journey. Signs of a war situation are visible in Srinagar, the largest town in Indian Kashmir. The population of more than a million was ordered to black out their windows against air raids; command posts and public buildings were evacuated and large red crosses were painted on hospital rooftops to deter Pakistani attacks.

Yes, these were non-military terrorist camps of JEM, housing all military hardware & software, retired military personnel (Pak military initiative & policy – to give 1000 cuts to India) & ISI who trained them (300 or so) were erased from the map, by naming Israeli bombs, Pak is clearly, arousing its anti-Semitic mobs, jihadi & fidayeens sleeper cells.

Sprinkling with Spice 200 is called spicing the tart, with the observation that in the case of Iran their tart might get a big cherry right on top.

Spike is not a missile in the modern meaning of this world in in English, it is a gliding bomb released from the plane in pre calculated position and then gliding on the target, it has the image of the target in its memory, so as soon as electro-optic site caches the target it start to operate the wings to achieve desirable precision of the hit. The technology is cheaper version than “operator in the loop” used in the Popeye missile and resistant to jamming because there is no data link to be jammed, and allow the plane to leave the area as soon as bomb is released.

The missile is the message, immaterial to the conflict. How many ISIS, Hizballah, Houthis, etc fight with American vehicles and arms?

It’s called “Spice 2000” 😉 There are also Spice 1000 and Spice 250 variants. The number always stands for the weight of the “warhead” (in case of the 2000s and 1000s it’s actually a Mk84 2000 or Mk83 1000 pound iron bomb outfitted with a sensor kit in the front and a steering kit in the rear. The Spice 250 (250 pounds) is a complete weapon that was developed from scratch).
