Russia ramps up arms to Syria, warns Israel of “catastrophic” price for interfering

Russia has doubled the number of arms ships heading for Syria’s Tartous from the Black Sea through the Bosporus, DEBKAfile’s military sources report. The acceleration of Russian arms traffic to Syria has been noted in the last fortnight. The vessels are loaded with containers holding military hardware. It is believed that they contain quantities of advanced S-300 air defense missiles bound for Bashar Assad’s army and short-range Pantsir-S1 systems capable of intercepting UAVs and cruise missiles. The consignments also include large quantities of automatic 30mm cannons and radar equipment.

On Monday, April 23, high officials in Moscow released the following statement to Kommersant, a publication close to the Russian defense ministry:  If Israel attacks the new air defense systems it will suffer “catastrophic consequences.”

The Israeli people must not fear Russia. If any Iranian weapons are within range, Israel has a moral obligation and imperative to protect its borders and people. Israel must use its assets to make sure Russians are not killed in any strike on columns of tanks, rockets and infsnry units that the Iranian revolutionary guards has in Syria. At the same time diplomacy works when backed by muscle.

For all of those who oppose Assad and his allies, it is time to arm the Syrian opposition with MANPADS. The Syrian opposition is more than capable of dealing with their opponents if they have the support and weapons that they need.

Hello, hello, the lights are on but there is nobody home, it seems. Might I offer a bit of intelligence? Go to the book of Daniel. Notice the prophecy of the Image. The two legs indicate the two empires of Orthodox “Christianity.” That would be the Vatican verses the Eastern Orthodox. And the clay or dirt that is mixed into the feet but does not adhere to the feet really well are the two branches of Islam. That would be the Sunnis verses the Shiites. The Russians are allied with the Shiites because the Vatican is allied with the Sunnis. This is all good news because when these limbs stand as the last stages of the heathen empires then they are smashed to bits by the Messiah. Reference Daniel 2:34, 35. I hope this is all very clear.

I think If Iran fired on an American Warship, they would get more than they bargained for.
Trump is working to form a coalition of Arab Countries to Hold the current Positions the American Troops are located now in Syria. Basically, I believe Trump and Putin agreed on Useless Targets and the whole Missile Attacks by US, France and Great Britain were just a Show. Note that not a single defensive action was taken.
Assad is already importing Equipment to manufacture Gas. Who knows what else is in the Shipping containers sent by Russia. Basically I believe Trump already agreed to give Russia Syria.

    Are you sure?
Old Testament is a chronicle of Israel’s repeated failure to obey God, of its refusal to keep His commandments and statutes. In Psalm 78:10-11, 40-42, 56-57, the psalmist mentions that Ephraim (meaning Israel at large)

did not keep the covenant of God; they refused to walk in His law, and forgot His works and His wonders that He had shown them. . . . How often they provoked Him in the wilderness, and grieved Him in the desert! Yes, again and again they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His power. . . . Yet they tested and provoked the Most High God, and did not keep His testimonies, but turned back and acted unfaithfully like their fathers.

II Kings 17:7-8 speaks of the sins of the Kingdom of Israel, up north:

For so it was that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, who had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, . . . and they had feared other gods, and had walked in the statutes of the nations whom the LORD had cast out from before the children of Israel.

The prophet Jeremiah, in Jeremiah 32:30, quotes God’s scathing indictment of the people of both Kingdoms: “[T]he children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only evil before Me from their youth.”

Because of their sins, as II Kings 17:18-20 indicates, God

was very angry with Israel, and removed them from His sight. . . . Also Judah did not keep the commandments of the LORD their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made. And the LORD rejected all the descendants of Israel, afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of plunders, until He had cast them from His sight.

In Psalm 78:59-62, the psalmist Asaph relates that God, when He became aware of the idols of Israel,

was furious, and greatly abhorred Israel, so that He forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, . . . and delivered His strength into captivity, and His glory into the enemy’s hand. He also gave His people over to the sword, and was furious with His inheritance.

Likely so. But if they let them get into the hands of Iran, there will be larger consequences for Israel. This is not a wonderful set of choices, but I guess Israel will try to determine the least risky of the possible choices.

The US also has a stake in not letting Iran control Iraq, Syria and Lebanon and becoming nuclear. I hope we stay in place there to help raise the risks for Russia and Iran. I do not think the US is overly concerned about Russia having a navy base in Syria.

Russia also may not have a long term interest in an overly powerful nuclear Iran that is ruled by radical Shii with a vision of spreading their brand of Islam into areas the Russians consider their back yard. The US and Russia and Israel and the Saudis may yet see that they have more common interests than differences, even if the tension between the US and Russia seems high now. 75 years ago the US and Russia were allies. They could become so again.

I have no idea if the US or Israel knows how to counter modern Russian military weapons. It like is not really in the interests of any of the three to find out the hard way.

Not much has changed since the end of WWII.

Israel will do what it must.

It is much better to deal with Iran now, than later when it has a more capable nuclear arsenal. That is the reason the U.S. is dealing with N. Korea now. No choice. The lesser of evils. But evils nonetheless.

Iran is well warned to cease and desist. Their leadership, and Tehran, will not survive a war with Israel.

America has swarm weapons that can defeat any know AA system in existence – even our own. No AA system can defeat 50 missiles coming at it all at once. And half of the missiles coming at you on radar are “phantoms” generated electronically. That’s what ASSad and Putler were shooting at last week and why they hit absolutely nothing. They just wasted 49 expensive surface to air missiles on phantoms (40 by Syria and 9 by Russia). So now, what are they going to do?

    Ezekiel 38:3-7
And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet:
Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee.
Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
    Ezekiel 38:9
Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
    Ezekiel 38:18-23
And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.
    For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man’s sword shall be against his brother.
And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.
    Ezekiel 39:2-5
And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:
And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.
Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured.
Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.
And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

russia has never won a war alone that is true. DURING THE WWII russia was largely helped by US and british!!!!!.
RUSSIA LOST THE WAR AGAINST CHECHEN
TO WIN THE SECOND ONE RUSSIA FOUGHT WITH NO CONVENTIONAL RULES .IT KILLED INDISCRIMINATELY CHECHEN PEOPLE. DESPITE THAT THE CHECHEN PROBLEM IS NOT SOLVED
IN AFGNISTAN WHICH ALMOST A WAR AT HOME RUSSIA LOST.
IN ALL THE CASE RUSSIAN FOUGHT A LIGHTLY ARMED REBELS . RUSSIAN DID FIGHT A REAL ARMY !!!!!!
TRYING TO CONFRONT IDF IS AN ENORMOUS RISK FOR RUSSIAN ARMY BECAUSE IT WILL LOSE

Seems to me that its “catastrophic” for Israel if it does NOT interfere. Russia should be very careful too. Once Israel sees it directly acting against it, ALL its assets in the region are instant targets too. Not going to be easy for Russia as they will soon find out. Putin is not so smart after all.
