Scrap over Manbij opens door for Russia and Assad’s troops to take control of NE. Syria

One of Bashar Assad’s best weeks in years – and one of Tayyip Erdogan’s worst – peaked on Friday, Dec. 28. The US exit from NE Syria announced by President Donald Trump on Dec. 19 left an irresistible void for multiple forces to close in, even before a single American soldier was actually lifted off Syrian soil. In the wake of that announcement, the UAE cancelled its plans to send troops into northern Syria and instead reopened its embassy in Damascus for the resumption of normal relations, after years of backing the Syrian rebellion against the Assad regime. DEBKAfile’s intelligence sources have learned that Saudi Arabia will shortly follow suit. The two Gulf nations are therefore lining up behind Trump’s new Syrian policy.

Encouraged by the hoisting of the UAE flag over its Damascus embassy, Bashar Assad ordered his army on Friday to advance on the northern flashpoint town of Manbij which had been lost to him for most years of the civil war. A Syrian army vanguard has already reached the town’s outskirts, drawing to a halt at its southern entrance. Kurdish YPG militiamen raised the Syrian flag over the town center, after the Kurdish-led, US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Syrian Arab Army (SAA) reached deal with the Syrian government to ward off the threatened Turkish invasion of this border town.

DEBKAfile’s military and intelligence sources can reveal that Russian officers are attached to the command of the Syrian units at the gates of Manbij, This is highly significant because, before accepting the Kurdish request, Assad also sought and received the consent of Russian President Vladimir Putin. In no time, Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, went on record to call Assad’s move a “positive step” that could help stabilize the situation. No surprise there, since the Russians now see their way for the first time to crossing the Euphrates River into northeastern Syria. This move would finally bury the Putin-Obama deal which split Syria between the two powers – Russia in the west and the US east of the Euphrates.

The Assad Kurdish deal for the transfer of Manbij to the Syrian government is a stinging setback from Turkish President Erdogan, the second in a month. He was first convinced that he had President Trump’s approval, after the US exit, for his army to move in on Kurdish turf in northeastern Syria, cross the Euphrates and take their capital of Qamishli. Trump did not explicitly dispel this impression. But when a high-ranking US delegation promised to arrive in Ankara and coordinate US-Turkish military moves never turned up, the Turkish leader began to see his plans going up in smoke.

He reacted by announcing on Tuesday, Dec. 25 that he was heading to Moscow to discuss with Putin the crisis over the forthcoming US troop pullout and his plan to move the Turkish army across the Euphrates. But then came a slap from the Kremlin. Peskov said that the Russian president’s schedule for the coming days was full.

Bereft of support from either Trump or Putin, Erdogan announced that a Turkish delegation of his top officials would travel to Moscow on Saturday, Dec. 29. Led by Defense Minister Gen. Hulusi Akar, Director of MIT intelligence Hakan Fidan and Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu. The day before the delegation left, the Syrian army reached the outskirts of the key border town of Manbij. In a belated show of muscle, Erdogan ordered Turkey’s Syrian rebel allies – mostly Turkoman militias – to “launch their Manbij offensive.” Moscow is not likely to be impressed.

Bashar Hafez al-Assad, what a beautiful name!

Bashar al-Assad was born on September 11, 1965 in Damascus. He grew up in a political family. His father Hafez Assad took over the Syrian government in 1970. Bashar was not originally intending to be a politician. He graduated from Damascus University in 1982, where he studied medicine. His older brother was next in line to take over from their father. Unfortunately the older brother died in a car crash in 1994. At this point Bashar stepped in to be his father’s heir. Bashar became a colonel in the Syrian army in 1999. In June 200 his father died of a heart attack after holding office for 29 years. One month later, Bashar ran unopposed to become President of Syria.

Long live our great leader Bashar Hafez al-Assad!

Congratulation to the brave men and woman who are fighting in Syria to remove the pestilence of the Gulf and Western funded regime change apparatus better known as ISIS which was so successfully employed in the destruction of Libya.

May you soon be able to have free, fair and rectifiable elections to remove the canard used to which has been used to drive the narrative for the need for regime change regardless of the cost to the Syrian people.

I hope this horror will draw the Syrian people and there neighbors close together so that a customs and defense union can be created to rapidly grow your economies, your technology and forever prevent outside interference in your affairs or theft of your land.

      It is all Trump’s problem.
One result of Trump’s confusing Syria policy is that Assad and his backers can’t quite be sure what America is planning—a pullout or a pushback. Hence another chemical attack, which will test the range of America’s response and, perhaps, will paint Trump into the same corner where Obama’s Syria policy languished.

For Assad, there is utility in such a feint, and no real risk. In 2013, he and the rest of the region braced in fear for an expected American response, which was widely expected to jolt the regional state of affairs. Assad has learned his lessons since then. No meaningful American response will be forthcoming, no matter how hideous the war crime. America remains deep in strategic drift, unsure of why it continues to engage in the Middle East, and prone to spasms of hyperactivity rather than sustained attention.

    I hear you.

Sadly Erdogan comes across a mad-man who would like to rebuild the Ottoman Empire and go onto to bring all the nations of the region under his control.

So a good question is who would be the safest choice to run the Midlle East:

    1. Saudi
    2. Iran
    3. Erdogan

My money is on Iran for the moment. Fingers crossed they all head down the road of mutual cooperation and respect and we end up a Middle East customs union of sorts. That way we dont end up with a single party looking to establish a lasting empire.

Its far better to focus on developing each other nations and working together vs this backward tribal / religious nonsense that we have today.

But for that they need education and growing economies.

PS – There is another Tommy on at the moment posting under my beloved name…So i’ll post as Tommy the Original for the moment

Erdogan has chosen on his own to use Cultural and Racists attempts to diminish the economic power of Non-Muslims, Jews, Armenians and Greeks Minorities in Turkey. Now many worry that the current government are using new scarecrow to bring hard-line Islamic rule to Turkey. Turkey History has been full of scarecrows before, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was able to establish and digest Turkey Democratic Values.

Now a number of Turkish Media Outlets are supportive of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s and his Party proliferating apparently false news reports claiming rival Kurdish groups entered into a secret deal with Israel to gain their independence by resettling Jews to the region?

Erdogan is using such scarecrow tactics to cause speculation and suspicion that American backed Kurdish movements in Iraq and Syria of bearing links to the PKK and has attempted to pressure fellow NATO member into diminishing support for Kurds, which have proved an effective ally against the Islamic State militant group (ISIS). In spite of knowing full well the Syrian People’s Protection Units (YPG=XPJ) Sister group, the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), fights alongside them are active in Northern and Eastern SyriaIraqi peshmerga units, as separate entities?

Many believe that just like on the eve of World War I, there were 2 Million Armenians in the declining Ottoman Empire but by 1922, there were fewer than 400,000 as 1.5 million were killed in what historians consider the first genocide. Erdogan are using similar sowing of hate now against the Kurds and Israeli. The man who invented the word “Genocide” was Raphael Lemkin, a lawyer of Polish-Jewish origin was moved to investigate attempts to eliminate an entire people by accounts of the massacres of Armenians. The use of of the word Genocide was coined in 1943, applied to Nazi Germany and the Jews in a book, “Axis Rule in Occupied Europe.”

Erdogan should be aware that “Big Things Have Small Beginnings” There are over 40,000 Kurds still living in Armenia the Kurdish People are represented by 2 Ethnic Groups, the Kurds and the Yezidis. At the same time, there are about 300–500 Jews presently living in Armenia, mainly in the capital Yerevan. They are mostly of Ashkenazi origin, while some are Mizrahi and Georgian Jews.

Once again, Erdogan thinks he can use massacres the Kurdish People that make up 18% of Turkey’s population of 14 Million, out of 77.8 Million Turkish Population, mostly living in Northern Kurdistan, in Southeastern and Eastern Anatolia. We shall see!

Tommy………..Looks like familiar writing and glad you posted it. The Kurds hold the future for a Modern Middle East along with Israel, UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and one day will be joined by Kurds in Iran, Iraq, and Turkey. Just as the Syrian found out that it is better to be Kurdish Allies than Outsiders and they saw the Kurds help bleed out ISIS.

The Simple Fact remains no one the Middle East especially Arabs are going to welcome the Turks back into Middle East they ruled so cruelly and took centuries to oust the Sultan’s Ottoman Empire. This going to make Erdogan actually being undermined at in Turkey as well. Erdogan Big Plan is going to end not with a Big Bang, but slow whimper as Power is cast away for a Kurdish Fight on another Day of Eastern Turkey succeeding another Arab Homeland from the Sick Man Ottoman Empire.

“Break Forth Into Joy, Sing Together, Ye Waste Places Of Jerusalem: For The Lord Has Comforted His People, He Has Redeemed Jerusalem”!……The “Perfect of Certainty”, viewing a Future Action As If It Had Already Taken Place”

Now what Erdogan faced Yesterday in learning how his plot to rid the Kurds has been stopped, and Today experiencing a new drab Turkish world from his own hearts new fear, with Tomorrow’s to come Turkish Rule Shadows Darkening ominously as at every turn his handshake outreach is being ignored from Moscow to Washington. While those in Damascus Dances to the Tune of the Kurds Singing in Qamislo, Erbil, Sanandaj and Diyarbakır. Along with some whistling from Russia with Love and humming throughout the Middle East and Peace Be With All in Israel, America and Saudi Arabia.

The Shiia in Iran and Iraq are watching as well and may soon have a unbinding blinking of a bright Ali-Fatimah Blessing “Wahy” Revelation of their own coming to understand the dangers now of an America’s Syria withdrawal. This could be a good opportunity of a Detente between Tehran, Riyadh over Damascus. Iranians are very upset about their future fate in Syria. The Robe Regime is full of suspicions seeing lack of American Action no longer is paving the way for a new approach by the Arab World toward Damascus.

Even bright clouds in the sky can become a dangerous fact that the Iran Regime cannot even provide good Economics for its own People. Since they do not have the financial capacity to fund the reconstruction in Syria anytime soon. As more sanctions and exporting revolutions keeps them in debt and two steps from bankruptcy not paradise. It gets worst when Iran also see’s that Russia and Turkey have the same cash flow investment problem to help rebuild Syria as well.

This causes a Bigger Dilemma since President Trump asked the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar to fund Syrian’s Reconstruction and the Golden Rule is well known in the Middle East. “The One That The GOLD As Much Say How And Whom Rules To Spend It. This puts Assad right with Saudi, UAE, and other MidEast Nations staying in the Syrian Arena with the Iranians outside looking in at the Man that brought Victory in Battle is Honored Above All Men. Even the UAE’s Foreign Affairs Minister has been boldly quoted, “The Arab Role In Syria Is Becoming More Necessary Against The Regional Iranian And Turkish Ambitions. The UAE Today, Through Its Presence In Damascus, Seeks To Activate This Role”!

This is why all of sudden the Ayatollah’s Robes Regime is now nervous about diminishing returns in a Post-War Era in Syria. Iran was able to provide Solders, Weapons, and Supplies for the Civil War but more Money is needed for New Homes, Roads, and Infrastructure destroyed to keep the Future Peace in Syria. And Iran does not have it? As it Quit Raining in Iran to provide Living Water Iran can only provide another foggy window for them to see that Turkey and Russia are no longer solid Partners in Syria either. Since they often disagreed on how to fight the Civil War but are no longer needed anymore.

Now that Civil War is over Iran’s Soldiers will be replaced by Syrian, Russian, Kurdish, Alawites, Druze, and Ismailis Builders, Workers, and Guests. Even Iraq’s Shia are not happy either but they have been waiting for the Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei to pass away anyway. Making Baghdad the Center of Shia under Ayatollah Sistani and the Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Mohammad Sadeq al-Sadr.

The “Perfect of Certainty” has always been a Hallow Sign Of Joy In Jerusalem.

Me, for one, I fear the new Russian supreme high speed missile. They have only one of this model, but it is already scary enough with a speed of 301 km per millisecond.

In special relativity, clocks are moving run progressively slower according to a stationary observer’s clock, because of the nature of space-time. But, at this speed, with 1 full km over the speed of light, the effects are catastrophic because of negative time. It will land 10 to 20 minutes before launching, and so, all they need is only his one to shoot and hit thousands of times.

      Something has to be done.

Most of the Middle East had Broken Governments that stayed in Power using The West and Israel as Scapegoats for their failures to diversify their Economies, to multiples their Academic Curriculum’s for High Tech and Engineering, and failure to communicate to their People changes are required throughout their Societies. They preferred to keeping the Status Quo more than the courage to seek unity to change. For example, many of their Educational Institutions produced more Majors in Law and Religion than any other. Can you imagine a Modern Society looking to advance and innovate in keeping up with other regions being led by Lawyers & Preachers? This cause many of the Engineering, Computer Resources, and Business majors to leave many Middle East Nation and find Employment in America, Europe, Asia, and Indonesia.

The Arab Springs may be coming to an end, but it was a Wake Up Call for Change that was both necessary and beneficial for the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain all took advantage since the 1980s to advance their Institutions, Invite American, European and Asian University’s to put in Branch Campuses, and develop their own Engineering, Modern Innovations, and Diversity for Science, Construction, and Computer Expertise. Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, are now adopting changes now. These are Nations see the value in making these changes as well.

By the end of 2012, Myopic Rulers had been forced from Power in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, and Yemen, Civil uprisings had erupted in Bahrain and Syria. Major Protests had broken out in Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, and Sudan and Minor Protests had occurred in Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Djibouti, Western Shara. Egypt went through 2 Coups, Lebanon struggled with Syrian-Hezbollah, Iraq fought Iran and then Kuwait, Iran exported chaotic revolutionary conflicts, and Syria went through a Civil War. The rise of State-Sponsored Terrorism, Cultural Dissent Terrorism, and the Left and Right Terrorists rooted in political ideology help cause the rise Al Aqada, Islamic State of Iraq, and Levant.

Now the Smarter Middle East Nations across the Middle East and North Africa have been upgrading Women’s Rights, Education, Adopting Gender Quota and Candidates to increase Women’s Representation in all aspects of societies. Women can now pass on citizenship to their children and the region has seen widespread repeal of laws letting rapists escape punishment if they marry their victims, and nations have adopted laws against domestic violence. This is a good sign the Remnants of the Arab Spring is starting to fix the Broken Governments that have held back the Middle East and North Africa.

Buford……..Mobilizing an Army is an expensive proposition and keeping an army supplied is even more draining of resources. The Kurds of Northern Syria are Autonomous now more than never with Syria Back Up when needed. It reminds me of what happen when the Arabs in World War I took Damascus from the Turkish Ottoman Empire and then the British arrived to take over and had to have a sit down with Prince Feisal and debated about whose Flag would rise above Damascus Water Works, and it was decided it would become a British Run Waterworks with a Prince Feisal Flag lying.

Northern Syria is still dominated by Arab Kurds in many Towns and Villages and will remain protected by XYP=XPJ and they know their region better than anyone. Assad has accepted they will remain in control and will serve as Back-Up Chip needed to stop a Turkish Attack. In essence this another Middle East Autonomous Kurdish Region with a Syrian Flag Flying. Just like the Kurdistan Province in Iran run by Kurds with an Iranian Flag. As well as, Kurds other regions running their regions in Iraq and Turkey under those Flags as well. Syria, Iran, Iraq, and Turkey have no choice but to work with Kurds and the Kurds for now have no choice but to Fly 4 Flags over Kurdistan 4 Regions for now, not forever.

The problem is that those who organized the attempted regime change in Syria really dont care about Law. Their focus in on achieving the objective my any means whilst managing the worldwide narrative.

In Libya they were successful in Syria Russia and Iran stepped in. This change dynamic and with RT and others the controlled Western narrative is been challenged. Most news organizations at this timed are owned by the Globalists and when we look at Project MOCKINGBIRD we quickly see the centralized power and capabilities.

The scary thing was this was what they could achieve then, now with centalised Psychological Operations (PSYOP) centers in most Western defense establishments and modern communications the centalised management of News must be many times greater.

David Rockefeller, C.F.R. and Trilateral Commission Founder
“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine, and other great publications (the Mainstream/Mass-Media) whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during these years.

But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government.

The supernational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferableto the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries.”

Because of this large numbers have bought into this narrative and see the world through this filter. So ye more mass media mind controlled than batshit crazy, though the outcome is much the same.

Erdogan has made a deal with the Russians. Turkey wants to be the major energy corridor into Europe, and Russia and its allies are the only countries that can make that happen. Look at a map. The war in Syria was, from the start, all about control of the energy corridors where oil and gas pipelines could be built. Once it became clear that Syria would remain in Russia’s orbit, Turkey walked away from their erstwhile allies.

Anyone who ever thought that any of this was about freedom rather than money is an idiot.

However, Putin has managed to masterfully play both of them like fools into first giving each some concessions and freedoms to act in Syria and slowly but surely eventually reducing these concessions bit by bit until Assad is given the advantage. Slowly but surely Putin has lied and broken every promise that he has made to both Turkey and Israel regarding Syria.

This explains Putin’s current hostility towards Bibi. The Russians want to control all natural gas that may compete with their European monopoly on it. Bibi’s gas deals with Cyprus and Greece fly against all that Putin is trying to do. Putin is allies with Iran since Iran has the 2nd largest natural gas reserves after Russia. Included in the Putin gas deal with Turkey is Turkey’s ally Qatar which has the world’s 3rd largest gas reserves. Russia is afraid of anyone encroaching on their natural gas monopoly with Europe because it appears to be the largest Russian economic support leg. If this leg collapses, Russia can collapse economically since it depends on energy resources to very much float its economy. If the economy falls, Putin falls out of power. Putin was hoping to have a hand in Israel’s natural gas. Putin is also working on both Egypt and Libya for the same reason, it’s all about the natural gas and the European market.

There is no such thing as a good religious fanatic no matter what the religion is. The religious fanatic hates everyone inside the same religion (coreligionist) who are not just as religious as them and they also hate all others outside who are not of their religion as well. The religious fanatic thinks that they always have God’s favor no matter what. They sit in judgement of everyone else. They only concentrate on the the deeds relating to God and tend to downplay and ignore the deeds relating to their fellow human beings. They will not hesitate to kill others that they do not agree with whether inside or outside their religion. They are evil people that hide behind religion and God. They are hypocrites.
