Largest-ever surface missile attack on Syria targeted 15 Iranian/Hizballah sites

For 75 minutes on Thursday night, Nov. 29, the IDF blasted Iranian, Hizballah and Syrian targets in its biggest ever surface missile attack on Syria, DEBKAfile’s intelligence and military sources can now reveal. This was not an Israeli air force strike such as those conducted for two years against Iranian targets in Syria. Two kinds of ground-to ground missiles were used in this cross-border offensive: a Long-Range Artillery Weapon system known as LORA which has a range of 400km; and the guided, short range Tamuz. They raked across at least 15 sites, most of them belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), pro-Iranian militias and Hizballah. They covered an area ranging from the Syrian Hermon slopes in the north, down to the Iranian command center at Izra north of Daraa in the south (See attached map.)

Among the locations targeted was Al-Zabadani, a town on the Damascus-Beirut highway near the Lebanese border in the west, which Hizballah has taken over and established there its command posts, training camps and ammunition and rocket depots.  At Al Kiswah south of Damascus, the IDF missiles struck Iran’s central command post in Syria, which is known as the “Glass House.”

Blasted too were the command posts and structures of two Syrian brigades which are structured for Syrian officers to command a hodge-podge of Hizballah, pro-Iranian Shiite and Palestinian militias. Israeli missiles also struck the Syrian Army’s 90th Brigade which rules the area north of Quneitra and 112h Brigade which is stationed south of this Golan town.
The massive Israeli cross-border assault inflicted heavy casualties on the Iranians, their militias, Hizballah and the Syrian army, including fatalities. Up until Friday night, neither Iran, Syria nor Hizballah had disclosed the precise targets smashed by the IDF 24 hours earlier. The Russian military in Syria was also silent.

If you read anything except only your misleading papers you could have read that S300 is not yet activated. They will have at least three months to activate it, so hold your horses. You will have enough time to cry about the efficiency of S300, just sit and wait, don’t be so impatient.

Read the history of the S300s. The S300 was upgraded multiple times, until they decided it would be good for foreign sales to call it something else…they called the upgraded S300 PMU3s the S400s. Russia could have given Syria straight up “S400s,” and called them S300 PMUXs.

One thing we can say with confidence, is the F35As are flying bricks that can be shot down, even with the Israeli upgrades. Otherwise, the Israelis would not have used missiles, period.

It’s presaging the barrage that is going to happen to Israel, but now that it’s acting like Iraq against Iran in Syria, no one will care. I wonder how long it’s gonna take Hezbollah to convert all those missiles to precision guidance over their at their Lebanese airport.

I really wonder why those blood thirst Arabs (yes, I know Iranians are persians) haven’t shot 10,000 missiles into Israel already. Wish I wasn’t just some pleb looking at shadows on the wall of the real events and know something.

Like I’ve said Jacob, let’s run the experiment. I’ve been a scientist since I was 16 years old as a senior at Stuyvesant High School talking a grad student’s spot because I spoke with the Chairman of Mt. Sinai Meidcal Center, and he thought we both would be better served if I didn’t just cut rat’s heads off all day.

I have idiot savant capabilities (that used to cause lots of stress until I became a high level meditator) and I can see connections you may not. Either way, I could be wrong, I’m not omniscient, or even as good at an nVidia 2 Peta Flop GPU running the better machine learning algorithms. So I say, run the experiment. I actually don’t understand why they haven’t already attacked, but then I learn, the US is about to start WW3 and go nuclear, as per the death of Vice Adm. Scott A. Stearney who just killed himself in Bahrain, so Russia may be holding them back for now.

S400 cant detect anything at mach 3 at 30 ft above the deck. If by chance that doesnt work..they overwhelm the s400 system with delilah missile and many decoys. The s400 does not know which is which and cant decide which to shoot down. Just one missile will destroy the systems integrity…a second wave will obliterate it. Nothing…repeat ….nothing is invinsible. The best form of attack has been offense…since beginning of time!

So much for the S300’s not poising a threat to the IAF lol

Russia should respond by proving the Syrians and Iranians with large numbers of the Iskander tactical ballistic missile systems. Syria would be well within its rights to respond to these Israeli acts of aggression by targeting the IDF bases and airfields. It would also serve as a good testing / development cycle for the enhancement of such weapons systems.

Israel Defense Forces are only displaying a small head of the Iceberg of what is to come as an Warning to Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah while letting Russia to reevaluate its own policies, intentions, and weigh its own consequences of the other three encroachments upon Israel’s Borders. Israel has already succeeded letting them all know resupplying from Beirut is more difficult for Iran but Israel is showing it can still hit Depots, Camps, and Other Iranian Strategic Sites if needed as well. The messages cannot be more clearer that is just a sample of what can happen and even if Iran, Syria and Hezbollah seeks a Counter Response, so be it. Israel is ready for far bigger alternatives as the Air Force is Armed and Waiting! Now one can see why US Strike Forces, French Intelligence Ship, and US Controls Fly Zones and Saudi Arabia is up and ready as well as making High five Handshakes with Russian Putin at the G-20. Iran grows weaker everyday and Syria Assad is by no means safe either.

Meanwhile Hamas is being dealt with far harsher and that is another intended message to the delight of Palestinian Abbas as well. Israel has decided to increase its own redress of the Violent Hamas engineered more Protests along Gaza Border as well. This is the 36th week of the ongoing weekly protest of 10,000 protesters, This time the the IDF has been responding with the firing of live ammunition and tear gas canisters and again a show of Israel’s persistence over any Hamas Protests resistance to Peace. Hamas continues to prove they are dumb as they come, and ever since the world began, Smart always beats Dumb.

Hezbollah is twisting in the wind whether to sit back and decide if its wants to be a part of a coming commingling devastation that awaits the Iranians and Houthis. While, the Kurdish YPG=YPJ Nationalists Fighters are continuing to eliminate ISIS at a devastating rate. These Youthful Kurds will and can seek its own Nation State taking Northern Syria and can fight from parts of Kurdish populated dominating Armenia, Iraq, Turkey and Iran as well to cause increase Chaos adding to Iranian, Syrian, and Iraqi Shia Problems and eventual downfall. They all have to accept if the Kurds can defeat ISIS they are all vulnerable since they grow weaker everyday, and if Russian walks away they have nothing to rely either to save themselves and their own Regimes would more Thunder rains downs upon them.

What is interesting now is do they attempt to retaliate or just sit back and wait for an even more consequences of actions they thought would never come back upon them, losing face and Border Spaces and soon their own Nations from being divided like what happen in Iraq, and now Syria!

Isis is still an issue that Russia and Syria has to deal with. it is a shame that the US has really dropped the ball. The US focus has been Russia and wanting to discredit them and get them out of Syria. ( Ukraine provoking Russia is a big example) That group will never fire back until they are ready. They will be ready when the US has a group of carriers in range. The Germans and French will have to silence their warmongers to stay out of this. The Americans are the aggressors and so are the Israeli’s. Get the carriers close and you will have your war. None of you are fighters are you?

All of you continue to deny how smart Trump and his advisors are. Carriers are well protected. You speak as if they are vulnerable. They are probably one of the hardest assets to destroy in the universe, but they are not stupid enough to step in the way of danger. Everyone knows the power projection of the carriers is enormous allowing them to stay out of reach while Navy air does the job. Finally, Israel nor America are the aggressors. To you probably its wishful thinking. Radical islam is the enemy in the mideast. If they weren’t rabid about world domination and forcing others to worship that pedophile Mohamud, we wouldn’t have the Mideast problems we have today.

Trump is not very smart. However, he should listen to his naval advisors. Carriers are vulnerable to the Anti-ship missiles that Russia and China have. If the US wants to attack they will have to pull carriers within range to strike. The carriers also have to be close enough to our Persian Gulf bases to lend support for bombers, so at the max 350 miles. I suppose that you really know that the B2 bomber is good for one strike about every other week. After one flight they have to retape and repaint the craft not to mention other maintenance issues that only around 10 are usable at one time. It is a big issue I suppose that you learn something before you start getting enthusiastic. I realize that Israeli’s want to get rid of their enemies some of you are so unrealistic. I have taught Israeli officers before and some of them are as well (the younger ones)

Unknowedgeable professor……. I see where you got your name…let me just redress one thing ….. The kurds hold one third of syria in the north, and this is connected with american assets in Iraq. Along with the 8 small bases that need only minimal work to make them fighter ready…all part of the greater strategy ….. put this alongside Israel ready bases to share with america….Jordan air bases already under american control….. UAE controlled air bases that will give Americans all they want ….. and Saudi bases for the using …… lets forget about turkey as they are seriously becoming more and more supportive of Russia …… then Russia and Syria are really fugged without a single american carrier group ever coming into range, and very little Russia can do with one carrier out in the med doing nothing. Trump has spun Russia and Syria and Iran into a giant web of American influence that they wont break free off unscathed. Russia is dead in the water with a no fly zone operational and nothing they can do…sanctified or not!

Russia is not going to attack US anything. Any Russian attack on any NATO member is an attack on all. NATO would crush Russia in days. Russia gains nothing attacking any NATO member. Russia’s presence in Syria is mostly a diplomatic trophy not any real power projection.

By all accounts the S300s are not operational.

Israel has deployed all its aircraft including the F35 in attacks on Syria. They can hit Syria flying over Lebanon, where there are no S300s. They can hit Syria flying over Golan or Israel. And as this article points out they can use ground based rockets and missiles too. You think only Hezbullah & Hamas have rockets? Their power is in numbers, they shoot a bunch of dumb rockets with poor targeting systems and many land in open fields, many are shot down by Israeli Iron Dome type systems and maybe a few get through. Israel’s precision guided rockets coupled with their reconnaissance knows exactly where to hit and for the most part the rockets cannot be stopped.

If you want to predict anything, predict Israel takes out Lebanese air bases next. Stop Iranian supply lines and see if Russia really wants to arm Syria in battle against Israel. They are only there to support Assad against rebel forces. Israel is not a NATO member but they are not going to get entangled in direct conflict with Israel, nor does Israel wish to involve them. It is just a minor complicating factor not a deterrent to Israel’s mission which is to push Iran back, keep Assad just weak enough to hold power, and to disrupt supply lines to Hezbullah and Hamas.

There is war, has been war since 1948. Israel declared freedom for its people, Syria declared war on Israel. It’s been a state of war ever since. 1948, 1956, 1967, 1973 and so on. Further, Syria supports and allows Iran to support Hezbullah as a proxy through its territory. If Syria want peace the obvious condition would be to renounce war and cease all hostilities including support for foreign militias that attack Israel. Israel may have the upper hand in the conflict but that doesn’t make it the aggressor. Hafez Assad could have made peace and received 90%+ of the Golan back in the deal, but he insisted on the water rights to the Galilee sea which Israel could not accept. So they are still at war as they have been for 70 years.

Hezbollah has less than 1 division worth of paramilitary forces. Then sent a brigade to Syria which nearly mutinied due to high casualties and the fact the Iranians commanding them cared little for their losses. Nasrallah threatened to withdraw the Hezbollah expeditionary force and changes were made to their use.

As a result Hezbollah have some battle hardened men, but as time goes on there will be a decrease in skill through natural attrition as people leave.

Anyway, Hezbollah’s division-strength is a big deal in Lebanese terms but is next-to-nothing compared to Israeli strength. In 2006 Hezbollah was a nuisance to Israel (who was trying to minimize casualties) until the Israelis used air mobility to bypass the Hezbollah defenders and placed units on the Litani behind Hezbollah. Hezbollah was about to be encircled and destroyed, but then the World stepped in to save the terrorist jihadis. That is why Hezbollah’s resistance collapsed and they wanted a ceasefire.

If the Israelis do the same thing again then they can finish Hezbollah. Israel’s vastly higher mobility, air power, intelligence assets and overwhelming numbers could end Hezbollah for good if they do something similar again.

Iran grows weaker every day and the Kurds grow stronger defending their neighborhoods and regions every minute. While the Houthis are on the verge of a total collapse of humanity. While Russia has to deal with closer problems near its Crimea Naval Base? Israel show of force has come at the right time and only shows they know every move Iran is making and Iran cannot do anything about it?

After a time, Hezbollah may find that having so many missiles is not so pleasing a thing after all as wanting to remain in power. They do not want to go down with Iran nor have chaos among themselves that Iran has been doing throughout the Missile East. In the Middle East, the Nation that provides victory in battles are prized beyond every other value. The Iranian Regime has become a two-edged sword but now cuts both ways, and the Middle East will be better when they are removed and forgotten but reminded of their many failures since 1979, and it is not getting any better for them nor Iranian Allies that see Iran is weaker everyday to save themselves let alone join them? when one stands up and faces a Bully the Bully chooses to run and Iran can’t strike back for if it does it will be their last mistake.

You cannot kill a snake by cutting its tail. Unless you’re waiting for Iran to directly to attack first which will proke a major US response that Iran is well aware.

So the next best thing after this attack if Iran does not attack Israel directly is to cause major destruction on its forces in Iran. If Iran doesn’t react to that then the government will be overthrown B”H.

Dovid Ben Yehuda, well said……the Head of the Snake causing most of the problems in the Middle East is running out of places that no longer welcomes them! The World knows Iran is a nation on the brink of its own disaster by refusing to change its behavior after being a chance to do it by President Obama? The Iranian Regime has become a Modern Day Haman!

Haman instigates a plot to kill all of the Sons and Daughters of Abraham in Ancient Persia. Haman attempts to convince King Ahasuerus to order the killing of Mordecai and all the Jews of the lands he ruled. The plot is foiled by Queen Esther, Haman is hanged from the gallows that had originally been built, to hang Mordecai. Along with his ten sons also hanged after they die in battle trying to kill the Jews.

This economy of means and resources used to tickle the Iranian and Hizballah brigades is laudable somehow, but not absolutely necessary, they could definitely take much more.

The only critic I have is the 75 minutes limit which, I have to point, is pretty short.

    Please do it again!

finally a good use of ground to ground thinking weapons . nice work.i look forward to more.

in typical frustration and cruelty the Syrians will eventually respond with ground to ground chemical strikes on Northern Israel which will lead to Damascus bring nuked as per the Bible. bye bye Damascus.

this will lead to the evil lying Russian bear invading Israel’s golan and we will see many dead Russians lying around everywhere because Russia is far from home and revenge will be served for all the centuries of Russian persecution of the yehudis. putin will be humbled and finally Russia will go home beaten and bloodied.

Lol, remember the pathetic performance of the IDF in Lebanon?

Remember the spanking that the IDF received and because of the poor performance of its ground forces how it had to resort to the destruction of civilian infrastructure in a desperate effort to disengage and provide some measure oof deterrence as the whole middle east was laughing at them?

Back then Hezbollah had 10000 dumb missiles. Now they have 150000 many of them now upgraded to precision weapons and now able to hit all major cities.

Hezbollah is now far better trained and equipped thanks to Syria.

Do you really think that the IDF which is only good when beating and terrorizing up defenceless civilians had the will power to sacrifice many thousands of their soldiers?

Israel is very good at attacking when the opponent does not have a chance to defend themselves. It however as can be seen by the missile strike is a coward at heart. Lots of talk but when the chips are down does not have the backbone to risk casualties.

That’s why its so terrified of a few Iranian solders in Syria. Iran is willing to sacrifice and make the hard calls.

Israel has become soft and fat and is so used to fighting against those who are unable to defend tthemselves that its doubtful that its ground forces are anything llike they were in the past.

Israel is far better equipped at wailing llike a little child aand beginning for American and others to please protect it … Its become a sad little bully that no longer the backbone to defend its self in a fair fight

Below is a brief reminder of the asskicking that Israel received in 2006….

Do you think Israel has just stood still and not advance as well its own Military defenses and offenses as well as its technology with the abilities of surveillance, espionage, and even more mutual partnerships and goals with Arab Coalitions opposing Iran’s exporting of violence throughout the Middle East?

Ever wonder why Hezbollah has not used its 150,000 Rocket Missiles? Yesterday’s Hezbollah has changed in ways that prefers to continue to exists in ways for Today and Tomorrow more so then following an Iranian, Syrian, Iraqi and Turkey demands upon them and also rejects any blind ambitions among those nations on the verge of chaos at anytime.

Hezbollah are more like the Kurds but with far less populations with Multi-Faith Christian, Druze, Sunni and Shia Volunteer Force to Combat any Occupation of Lebanon by any Nation and that includes Syria, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, Arab Coalition and Israel too.

Hezbollah wants to stay and remain in Power and Existence and will set their own Terms by only them, no one else. There is no upside in sending Thousands of Missiles down upon Israel and Hezbollah knows that too.

        Nah.
The Hezbollians hide behind the skirts of women and their children. The IDF restrained itself out of respect for innocent life. The civilians have been recurrently warned to stay clear of the Hezbollian armories and launchers, which are emplaced within their living spaces to exploit them as human shields. These disgraceful tactics preclude the use of explosive force due to the high risk to civilians. Thus the disgraceful Hezbollians are able to force the IDF into urban combat on the enemies turf, with high casualties among the IDF fighters trapped between the enemy’s civilians.
It is firmly embedded now in the IDF mindset that troops will no longer be placed in unnecessary danger to spare Hezbollian civilians. The civilians have been recurrently warned to stay clear of the Hezbollian armories and launchers, which are psychopathically emplaced within their living spaces to exploit them as human shields.
When the UNSC calls for a cease-fire are issued, this time they will be half-hearted. Sadly or not, many Hezbollians will lose their precious lives should war break out. The IDF will be given 40-60 days to wipe them out, liberating Lebanon from the chains of Syria and Iran.

The Iranians and their proxies got a taste of what is to come if they continue on their suicidal mission to threaten Israel. Never again, means exactly that. The Russians understand that and will not go to war for the Iranians. Regime change is needed to remove the Theocratic Iranian Rulers and replace with them with Leaders that want to live in Peace with all Countries.

Gota love the armchair critics slagging Israel. Many if not all have never participated in a conflict & have no knowledge of the tactical reasoning behind why decisions are made to use one weapon system over another, just pure uninformed speculation.
Later variants of the S-300, dependant on the type of missile load out, do indeed pose a serious risk to air assets. It may be that Israel deemed the risk too high or maybe they are probing for a response. What is certain is that the S-300’s will eventually need to be dealt with. The electronic environment plays a major role in modern war fighting & I suspect Israel is looking for weakness’s.

In my opinion, this was a show of force and might on Israel’s side and double as an opportunity for Israel to test Russia’s bluff regarding the readiness of use of the S300s. Israel might have executed air raids as well. Too much speculation and too easy to make assumptions here. The ball is in Russia’s hands now. Checkmate.

Especially when its exposed for the world to see. As Jesus said your people after all take after their father who has no truth in him and is the father of lies.
