The US liquidates its two main Mid East air bases at Incirlik and Al-Udeid

Plans to speed up the transfer of the big US CENTCOM base in Qatar to Saudi Arabia were approved by President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Muhamed bin Salman when they met at the White House on Tuesday, March 20. This is an earthshaking event for the Middle East, which far transcends US-Saudi relations, say DEBKAfile’s military sources.
They also disclose that, despite repeated denials, the Trump administration is in the process of another momentous move, packing up its air force and quitting Incirlik in southern Turkey, the biggest air base in the region.

The two moves are interconnected. Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has become an avid supporter of the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who is locked in a feud with the Saudi rulers. Turkey recently established a large military base in the oil emirate. The Saudi Crown Prince and his ally, the UAE ruler Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, are close friends and President Trump’s leading allies in the Gulf region. The two Gulf rulers view the Turkish president and Qatari emir as arch-foes.

The relocation of the two US bases stems additionally from the sharp reduction in fighting against ISIS in both Iraq and Syria. There is therefore less need for US air force operations in those parts. The US facilities and aircraft based in Incirlik are already being shifted to bases in East Europe, our military sources report. The Pentagon is also looking at Andravida in southern Greece as a replacement for Incirlik.
US installations are being shipped out of Al-Udaid in Qatar to the Prince Sultan Air base in central Saudi Arabia near Al Kharj, which lies 77km south of Riyadh. Fifteen years ago, this base was the main US air force hub for the oil-rich Gulf region, home at times to more than 60,000 US service personnel. When the US invaded Iraq in 2003 and captured Baghdad, the Saudi rulers insisted on the evacuation of US troops. Now they are returning.

The relocation of the two big US air bases in the Middle East is bound to shake up the region’s strategic dynamic. American soldiers are now in place to defend the Saudi kingdom. This will no doubt convey a clear message to Iran that the Trump administration has the back of the royal regime in Riyadh.

No, actually, Turkey will be the big loser. Sorry to break the news to you Mr. Abbas.. Have a nice day.

      • Mar 22, 2018 @ 18:21 at 18:21

Turkey will just invite russia to the airbase and speed up buying the S400 from Russia that seems like winning to me.

        • Mar 22, 2018 @ 18:57 at 18:57

Yes Memnon, it may seem so, for a time, maybe, but in the end, Turkey and Iran will go down in flames. The word “lose” will really be quite an understatement. Russia is another story. They need to rethink their mid-east friendships. They should know better then to help some of the people they are presently helping..

        • Mar 22, 2018 @ 19:31 at 19:31

I hope the US will not forget to take their nukes from incirlik with them. (If Erdogan allow them)

          • Apr 8, 2018 @ 15:38 at 15:38

I invite Erdogan to try to steal US nukes at Incirlik. He will not dealing with Arab military incompetents or innocent protesters, targets his thugs attacked outside his country’s embassy in Washington, DC.

It’s about time this Muslim renegade be given his comeuppance.

And get him out of NATO, for goodness sake! What is a terrorist-sympathizer in Asia Minor who is collaborating with Russia doing as a fifth column in an organization whose mission is the preservation of peace in the NORTH Atlantic?

        • Mar 22, 2018 @ 19:58 at 19:58

Correct… Turkey is expected it likely to leave NAto even as US interests now are in conflict with Turkey.

In future there can be conflict and the move us logical

        • Mar 22, 2018 @ 21:56 at 21:56

Obviously. Herr PuTiN has very excellent credentials for loyally standing by his strategic allies. He values loyalty very highly. Turkey must realise that it would be well advised to take itself of the NaTo menu and ally itself with Russia. This will solve the regions Zionist created Kurdish problem quicker than anything else.

True but they(Russians) will bring their military junk and I doubt Us dollars that most Military bases bring to the local economy! Unless the Russians pay their troops with US coin.

Russia will destroy with a tactical nuke, the third bridge (far in the north) over the Bosphorus,
this will damage the glass windows of many tall buildings (like the Marriot Renaissance building).
Since NATO will not do anything to revenge the bridge and the frightened Istambul (the city will
go “pale white”, maybe with leukemya), Turkey will make a “cold alliance” with Russia.
As Nostradamus wrote: “The chain that blocked the Passage of the Marine-Ox (BOS-PHORUS)

The USA will never lose. The reason for moving out of those two countries and into Saudi Arabia is part of a strategic plan. No winner or Loser.

    • May 10, 2018 @ 11:50 at 11:50

A joyous day it is to hear the US will take it’s wares, Airmen, and money out of Turkey. They are the epitome of faithless friends and evil humans. I have prayed for this to pass.

  • Mar 22, 2018 @ 17:39 at 17:39

With or without the US, Iran could never attack Saudi Arabia in a Zillion years. Aside from Iran’s political maturity which is above these petty moves of invading this or that country, Iranians believe that they simply cannot do things like that- if US could not kill & digest Iraq with all its power, how could Iran do it to Saudi or others? It does not make any sense. Its non-sense…and Iranian leadership are no-non-sense pragmatic.

This only thing that this would do is push Turkey and Qatar towards the Russian-Iranian-Chinese pole.

    • Mar 22, 2018 @ 20:35 at 20:35

Newsflash: When you pick stupid “allies” like the Saudis and their 89 flavours of head choppers to do your dirty work, I’m sorry to pop your bubble, but you’re going to be in for some major disappointments.

Nobody else can be blamed for Iran’s ascendency other than the dumb Yanks, Zionists and Wahhabis. Same goes with alienating Turkey and Qatar, and most other clusterfucks that massively backfired. You guys need to wake up from that mental disorder called US “exceptionalism” and Zionist “chosenitis”. Laying off Hollywood crack might also help.

Iranian proxies can clear the floor with saudis in a day let alone Iran itself if US doesn’t support them….that’s why Saudis are selling themselves off to americans…if US somehow decide not to help them fully against Iran they don’t stand a chance, they can’t even defeat barefoot Houthis….

    • Mar 24, 2018 @ 12:48 at 12:48

The USA did kill and digest Iraq….It just didn’t know what to do with it after it killed it.
Turkey will indeed leave the NATO alliance in the near future. Russia will indeed move right in, and enlist China to open sea ports there. They are working to build a coalition to destroy Israel. It is their only goal, because they are motivated by Satan. In the end, it is not going to be pretty for the new Persian Empire.

    • Apr 8, 2018 @ 0:12 at 0:12

Iranian nukes would be a game changer…Thanks to Barry Soretoro (aka Barack Obama)…

“Aside from Iran’s political maturity which is above these petty moves of invading this or that country”

Look at the 80,000 Iranian fighters in Syria.
Are you that dumb to think no one noticed?
Or are you that dumb that you don’t know about them?

    • May 10, 2018 @ 11:44 at 11:44

“…if US could not kill & digest Iraq with all its power,…” You are a simpleton if think the US couldn’t have killed all of Iraq. That was never the intention, although, they did give you an example you should learn from-Fallujah. Out numbered 45-1 by terrorists on drugs. They are all with Allah now. You have no idea of the unspeakable horrible deaths they suffered by the US Marines. And, that was with Bush. You don’t even want to know what Trump will do.

  • Mar 22, 2018 @ 17:40 at 17:40

=== Turkey is a anti-Semitic islamic terror state supporting hamas and iran. Creation of a kurdish state in eastern turkey will cool the jihadist heads in Ankara.

    • Mar 22, 2018 @ 18:17 at 18:17

Keep dreaming no kurdish terror state will be created.

      • Mar 23, 2018 @ 12:03 at 12:03

Turkey is the terror state. The Kurds are wonderful. The USA getting away from the Facsist Turks is the best thing we can do, and we must have an airbase free from Turkish threats.

    • May 10, 2018 @ 11:54 at 11:54

      @Aram. Agreed.

  • Mar 22, 2018 @ 17:42 at 17:42

Another reason why Iran could never attack Saudi is that it will be over-run by tens of millions of Muslims thinking that Iran is taking over Mecca…this is more dangerous for Iran than all of Israel’s nukes put together.

    • Mar 24, 2018 @ 6:38 at 6:38

Iran will nuke many Saud Arabia cities including Mecca, it’s in the Bible so will happen.

      • Mar 26, 2018 @ 11:14 at 11:14

I would like to know the chapter and verse of your Bible reference. Thank You

        • Apr 2, 2018 @ 1:20 at 1:20

Ezekiel 25 describes Arabia oil well.destruction. Isaiah says it will be “swept with the broom of destruction”. Revelations says Babylon will be destroyed by Persia. Mecca is built on 7 hills called Babel, and the Shiites consider Karbalah to be holy to Islam, not Mecca.

          • Apr 15, 2018 @ 14:22 at 14:22

Please clarify. Edom, which Ezekiel refers to in chapter 25, lay between the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqaba. Ezekiel wrote of Saudi Arabia in other chapters as Sheba. Maybe you are thinking of a reference somewhere else?

          • Apr 15, 2018 @ 15:02 at 15:02

The broom of destruction that the Lord is explicitly referring to in Isaiah 14 (ASB version) is not Arabia but Babylon (present-day Iraq). Persia is not mentioned in the Book of Revelation. Please also note it is named the Book of Revelation, not Revelations in the plural.
Most commentators are in agreement that the Babylon in Revelation 17 of the End Times is not Iraq, in particular because the details do not fit. Only Mecca and Rome are major religious cities built on seven hills, but Mecca does not fit the description of the city being a harbour city and producer of a great variety of goods as part of a major trading nation that also has maritime insurance companies. Even Rome only half fulfills the description of the harlot.

If the trade and the harlot are the yardstick, then London and New York would be better alternatives. Bible prophecy is only revealed successively and when very close to the event about to happen. The current provocations going on in the powder-keg of Syria are far more likely to fit with Ezekiel 38 and 39, and most end-time pastors agree with the Ezekiel 38,39 event happening either now or within a few years.

  • Mar 22, 2018 @ 17:46 at 17:46

Turkey’s leader needs to be replaced ASAP by a decent and reasonable leader, who will do real things to bring peace to the region. Not the present extremist regime that wages genocidal war on the Kurdish people, and others. Good people in Turkey should overthrow that backstabbing monster.
Turkey must withdraw and stop invading Kurdish cities and instead recognize the legitimate human rights of the Kurds.
It is unspeakable and reprehensible that other countries remain silent and do nothing, while Turkey wages war. Reminds me of how the allies did nothing to stop Hitler’s genocide of Jewish and other people.

    • Mar 22, 2018 @ 18:22 at 18:22

Turkey is fighting against marxist/lennist KCK’s Iraq/Turkey branch PKK and Syria branch YPG, not Kurds. Only you PKK rats in EU believe Turkey is some kind of genocide. Let me mention that 60% of the Kurds voted for Erdogan. If there was indeed a genocide going on; Kurds wouldn’t vote for Erdogan.

It does not matter for us though. You PKK lovers will just keep barking here and there thinking your propaganda somehow affects the Kurds in Turkey; it does not. Scream “Long live PKK” in any Kurdish majority city in Turkey and Kurds themselves will tore you to pieces.

So, they’re getting kicked out of Turkey and Qatar. Well well, the region is shifting under their feet. The Anglo Zionists are on the retreat. Not so many are friendly with them anymore, after witnessing their poor results spun as “freedom”, “human rights” and “democracy” in the region.

Dumb Muricans can barely understand any position other than their own. They are the MAIN REASON for their own strategic failures. That is something that deserves no sympathy. But they cannot look at themselves in the mirror and admit fault.

And the Saudis. Yeah go Saudis! The Qatar fiasco backfired spectacularly, as did the war in Yemen and Syria. Muricans have your back, and your dumb decisions!

    • Mar 24, 2018 @ 15:21 at 15:21

Anglo Zionists? Youre an idiot. Truly you have no idea what Israel comprises. In
reality the majority of Israel’s population

Erdagon is displaying classic megalomaniacal traits, the Ottoman Empire will never return. NATO never trusted Turkey’s motives which translated into EU rebuff. Unfortunately the CIA has cozied up to Turkey funneling arms to the ME, there’s a larger game afoot when US, Turkey and Israel work together. SA is home to Mecca and Medina after Bin Laden used US precence in SA to launch AQ it seems a foolish move. Shites may now feel free to attack SA without regard for these two holy sites and remove two birds with one stone. If destroyed the blame will lie upon US and SA and if destroyed where does Islam’s eye go? Nukes should have been moved out well before this announcement. A US move to Bulgaria and India make far better sense because Isreal is already friendly if one looks beyond purposeful Technological transfer to hostile States by same. Turkey has its own ancient enemy in Russia and most likely sees itself being outflanked as Iran also claims hegemony and will not surrender that to anyone.

  • Mar 22, 2018 @ 21:47 at 21:47

A US move into Somalia also make sense, again two birds.

  • Mar 22, 2018 @ 22:48 at 22:48

Good. A realignment is required. Turkey is proving to be a poor ally to the US and indeed the west. If they want a more Islamic and repressive government, they can go it alone. Qatar has been a big supporter of ISIS and Hamas. SA is moderating, and a firm ally, and is inching towards friendship with Israel.

The loser here is Iran. They are being met with force. The forces of moderation are fighting the forces of Islamic radicalization. I know who wins that battle.

    • Mar 23, 2018 @ 1:44 at 1:44

It’s time to remember what we’ve studied in history class. Turkey and Iran used to dominate the world. Long time ago. After that they became undeveloped states. They forgot it. And soon they’ll be reminded.
About friendship between Russia and Turkey, let’s not forget they had 10-15 wars between them.
And most recent downing of the Russian plane over Syria.

    • Mar 23, 2018 @ 10:16 at 10:16

Ben Meyer Roughly speaking, the United States did not exist when Russia was fighting with Turkey. In any case, Turkey is more important for Russia than one dead pilot. It is also important that Russian women adore Turkish beaches. In any way the farther the military bases, the better for tourists, fishing, hunting and partying. It is impossible to live in Italy near US military bases, all phones are tapped.

  • Mar 23, 2018 @ 6:19 at 6:19

Looks like Turkey and Qatar are looking for a way to get a gas pipeline to transport natural gas from Qatar to Turkey. Russia-Iran is trying to block this through their own pipeline from Iran to Syria.

Turkey has Bosporus and the agreement that gives free access to all is about to expire. In any scenario west betrays Turkey further than supporting marksist globally outlawed PKK/YPG terrorists, they all can kiss goodbye to entire black sea and Russia will probably have a big base on Turkey’s European territories instead not to mention angering other Turkic countries and billion sunni-muslim people. What will USA gain by pursuing this ridiculous policy of lets see if we can end the world if we act like morons and keep insulting Turkish people’s intelligence by constantly promising one thing and doing exact opposite every time?

    • Mar 23, 2018 @ 20:06 at 20:06

US was indeed around during Crimean war, WWI and WW2 where Turkey aligned with Germany a Russian enemy. History runs very deep in Russia. Time for your nap.

      • Mar 24, 2018 @ 1:03 at 1:03

UK,France and USA was big enemys of germany.
Germany wanted to biuld a railway from Germany to Arabia before the first WW.It was nearly complete. If they had it they didnt need the sea anymore that was ruled by Britain.
Also the german Kaiser has send a diplomat to the Russian King that he wanted PEACE,but France and Brits heard it and they where faster and talked to him that Peace was not good…

For WW2(you can read it all in DOCUMENTS):
Poland had a corridor, that splitted Germany.Germany had 8 railways which transported coal to East Prussia.Poland stopped the transports because Germany had only hos own currency to pay but Poland wanted Zloty. Also there was Danzig(90% German speaking). It was a “Free City”after WW1 not Polish or German.Because it also splitted germany(and Poland shooting at german planes before the war)Germany wanted to made deal:Belong to germany, but econmic belongs to Poland.
AND NOW IT COMES:When Germany and Russia made a peace pact(Germany thinked till the last minute Russia wants that the Balticum etc., will be free-Ribbentrop was shocked-but because things with Poland gone bad-also for germans in Poland that where killed etc.they signed the pact)a spy told it the US Diplomats.US embassy informed the US President and they sayed to Poland:BE HARD;NO DEAL ABOUT DANZIG WITH GERMANY!
        That was the start…

And did you know that SADDAM HUSSEIN asked the US one week before he invaded KUWAIT waht the USA will do?USA say:WE don´t intervene in politics of other countries…and when Iraq invaded the top KUWAITIS where all in “Holidays”.

Also a high US military sayed that for 100 years they prohibit a friendship from German+Russia! This is the most important for them he say…Why?Germany had the brain and Russia everything else. But now germany is dying and the schools are shit…

US is the neo-colonist of this century, if you are foolish enough to welcome their military bases then your country becomes their sovereign territory, they won’t speak out publicly but that’s the reality.

These Israeli chucklheads did just that.

They can ask the Pakistanis or the british how it ends — The US will in due course take over the nukes.

And oh yeah, they will never leave. They will never ever leave. “Not ever ever” as Trump would say. Never.

Is Erdogan crazy?? How does he think Turkey will benefit with his pivot towards Russia? Will Russian tourists replace the loss of European tourists? Does he think Europeans will still vacation there to the same degree as before if he leaves NATO? BTW..leaving NATO and aligning with Russia will be a defacto declaration of opposition to Europe and Europeans.
Will Russia buy Turkey’s exports? Will Europe continue Turkish imports at the same level?
America will have to use Greek facilities — will Erdogan understand how his actions end up benefiting Greece, not Turkey??
Once Turkey’s attachment to NATO, US, and Europe is broken it cannot be reversed by Erdogan or any subsequent leader. This will hurt Turkey for generations, IMO.
