Assad rejects Ramadan truce

President Bashar Assad Monday turned down the proposal coming from UN Secretary Ban Ki-moon’s and the new Syrian opposition president Ahmad Jarba to declare a bilateral ceasefire during the month of Ramadan which began Tuesday.
