Boston police shoot dead terrorist suspect brandishing knife
Boston law enforcement officers shot dead Usaamah Rahim, 26, Tuesday when he came at them with a large knife. They had come to question him as part of a terrorism-related investigation. The officers working with the Joint Terrorism Task Force had approached the suspect in a strip-mall parking lot without weapons drawn and opened fire when their lives were threatened. FBI special-agent-in-charge Vincent Lisi said the subject had been under 24-hour surveillance but declined to provide details of the investigation.
