Eilat airport briefly closed and reopened

Israel’s military authorities briefly closed, then reopened, Eilat airport Thursday night, presumably after a terror alert believed to come from across the nearby Sinai border. Eight incoming flights were diverted from the Red Sea resort of Eilat tp the Ovdat air base further north. The short closure caught Israel’s southernmost town at peak tourist season.
