Ex-Generals Gantz and Ya’alon meld their parties for election

Shortly before Benny Gantz launched his new party Tuesday night, Moshe Ya’alon announced that he and his new party would run together on the same list as Gantz in the April 9 general election. The announcement, after long negotiation, brings together two former IDF chiefs of staff. Ya’alon was moreover defense minister when Gantz led the IDF in Defensive Shield, the last counter-terror operation in the Gaza Strip.
