Female IDF soldier dies suddenly during training; investigation underway

Pvt. Lotam Kordover of the IDF's intelligence branch died Tuesday at the base where she was serving, the IDF's spokesman's office said. She was found unconscious in her room and was rushed to a hospital but all attempts to revive her failed. Kordover's family was informed of her death. The soldier is to be buried Wednesday afternoon in Rishon Letzion. Meanwhile, the IDF's chief medical officer, Brig. Gen. Dudu Dagan, announced that he had set up a committee to investigate how Kordover died.
