First David’s Sling missiles launched when Syrian missiles fired in nearby battle

The IDF reports that Syrian missiles fired amid battles raging near the Israeli Golan triggered wide-reaching alert systems across northern Israel on Monday morning. The missiles were not aimed at Israel, but the IDF activated the David Sling anti-missile system for the first time as a precautionary measure. The alert signals sounded in the Golan, Upper Galilee, Lower Hermon, north of the Kinneret (Sea of Galiee), Tiberias and for the first time in Safed.
