German FM urges Iran to accept US overtures
Germany’s Foreign Minister, Heiko Maas, on Wednesday urged Iran to accept diplomatic overtures from the West in order to preserve the 2015 nuclear deal. His warning that the deal was at risk came after US State Department spokesman Ned Price said, “Our patience is not unlimited, but we do believe, and the president has been clear on this … that the most effective way to ensure Iran could never acquire a nuclear weapon was through diplomacy.”
Tehran has still not formally responded to US concessions including its acceptance of information nuclear negotiations even while Iran continues to violate the 2015 accord.
