IDF soldier killed, three wounded in tank training accident on Golan
IDF Sgt. Ido Ben-Ari, a 21-year-old tank commander, was killed when his tank overturned during training on the Golan Heights, the IDF Spokesman's Office said. Three other soldiers sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment. The head of the Southern Command, Maj. Gen. Eyal Zamir, appointed an investigation team to look into the incident, while the commander of IDF ground forces, Maj. Gen. Kobi Barak, ordered the halting of tank training until the investigation is completed.
