Iran prepares four-point peace plan for Syria

Mid East sources report that Iran is preparing to submit a four-point peace proposal for Syria to the United Nations Assembly next month. It includes a national unity government – code for Bashar Assad staying in power; elections under international supervision; prominent representation in the regime for “moderate” opposition parties; and constitutional reform to protect minorities.
