Israel urges Argentina to carry on probe of dead prosecutor
Israel expressed great sorrow over the death of the prosecutor Alberto Nisman, who was found dead in his apartment, a handgun nearby, after accusing President Cristina Fernandez of a cover-up in the investigation into Iran’s culpability in the 1994 bombing of the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires. Argentina's cabinet chief rejected the charge as "absurd". Nisman's body was discovered hours before he was due to explain his allegations at a hearing of the Argentine parliament on Monday. A formal ruling on the cause of his death is pending.
