Khamenei accuses US of reneging on nuclear deal with Iran
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has accused the US of seeking to undermine Iran's banks and thereby reneging on the six-power nuclear deal with Tehran. He spoke on TV Sunday night on the occasion of Nowruz (Iranian New Year). The US imposed sanctions on Iranian companies and individuals in response to recent ballistic missile tests after they had been lifted as part of the deal, the supreme leader said, He also complained that contenders for the US presidency had “competed to vilify Iran in their speeches” and this was “a sign of hostility.”
