Latakia attack may have targeted Iranian cruise missiles or armed drones

The alleged Israeli air strike on the Syrian port of Latakia early Tuesday may have targeted a consignment of cruise missiles or kamikaze drones shipped by sea from Iran for its militias in Syria, Israeli Kan 11 broadcast reveals. The Mediterranean port is located near a cluster of Russian military bases and therefore the Israeli strike is presumed to have been conducted in coordination with their forces. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrives in Israel for a visit next Sunday. The Latakia strike is the tenth attributed to Israel over Syria in the last six weeks.
