Malaysia fears Jakarta-style terror attack amid heavy ISIS recruitment

Kuala Lumpur is deeply concerned by the recruitment by the Islamic State of increasing numbers of young Malaysians through the social media. ISIS is reported to have established a special unit in Syria called Katibah Nusantara for Indonesian and Malay-speaking fighters and their families. Their number in Syria and Iraq is conservatively estimated at 450 men, women and children. It is feared that they will return home very soon for jihadist attacks, like the atrocity in Jakarta earlier this month.
