Netanyahu launches coalition talks with 5 parties
After his Likud’s election win, Binyamin Netanyahu announced Wednesday morning that he would start building a new government coalition without delay since for “reality there is no time-out.”. It would consist of his own Likud, Kulanu, Habayit Hayehudi, Yisrael Beitenu, The Torah Union and Shas – all nationalist or religious parties – or both. In Washington, White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Obama was confident strong U.S.-Israeli ties would endure far beyond the election regardless of the victor.
