North Korea tests a submarine-launched ballistic missile

North Korea conducted what appears to be a Pukkuksong submarine-launched ballistic missile, according to the South Korean military. It exploded in Japan’s territorial waters without causing damage.  A US official said it was a land-based test of the mid-range submarine ballistic missile and not actually launched from a submarine. The test came hours after US and North Korean officials said that nuclear negotiations would resume next week.

For a small nation under such heavy sanctions to achieve what the North Koreans have is quite remarkable. If i North Korea and Iran i would specialize with North Korea with Iranian aid creating nukes and Iran missiles and drones. Then just swap the know how and sufficient number of weapons to provide the other with a solid minimum defense.
