Nuclear inspectors visit suspect uranium sites

The visits take place Monday and Tuesday to a uranium mine and “uranium thickening facility” in the central Iranian towns of Ardakan and Yazid, Behrous Kamalvandi, Iran’s nuclear department spokesman reported. After the visit, Tehran can say that the measures agreed between Iran and the agency are fulfilled, he said. But the Iranian official did not mention the International Atomic Energy Agency’s demand to also release by May 15 information about three years of secret development work on detonators applicable to a nuclear explosive device, which the agency has found a matter of concern.
