Pompeo: Bolton is a traitor who damaged America

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, reacting to released sections of a book by the president’s former security adviser, said on Friday: “John Bolton is spreading a number of lies, fully-spun half-truths and outright falsehoods.” He went onto say: “It is both sad and dangerous that John Bolton’s first public role is that of a traitor who damaged America by violating his sacred trust with its people.”

In his book, Bolton claimed that Trump pleaded with Chin’s Xi Jinping to help his reelection prospects. In an interview he blasted Trump as “unfit for office.” On Thursday, PM Binyamin Netanyahu rejected Bolton’s claim that he had serious concerns regarding Trump’s choice of Jared Kushner to head up the Middle East peace plan team. The Justice Department is seeking a court ban on the book’s publication on the grounds that Bolton violated a non-disclosure agreement not to reveal classified information.
