Rebel battle to break Damascus siege costs 150 lives

Heavy fighting erupted Sunday when rebel forces tried to break the Syrian army siege on their strongholds in the Ghouta area east of Damascus. The siege lasting months to crush resistance has prevented receipt of food, clean water, medicine and other supplies. Famine caused the rebels to fight to break the stranglehold on the area.
