Resorts World Manila complex in lockdown over suspected terror attack
A possible terrorist attack is ongoing at the huge Resorts World Manila complex in the Philippines, with sounds of gunfire and explosions.There is no confirmation that this is a terrorist attack. Footage posted on social media shows crowds of hotel guests running from the resort as gunshots were fired. Another video showed casualties being rushed to hospital. Fire, police and SWAT teams have surrounded and locked down the resort Resorts World Manila, a resort complex of four hotels, a large multi-storeyed casinos, shops and restaurants. It is situated opposite the Ninoy Aquino International Airport of Manila – one of the busiest airport terminals in the country. One employee heard five shots fired on the huge casino’s third floor before the building was evacuated. While nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack, Philippine authorities have been fighting ISIS in parts of the country.
