Russian Air Force chief begins four-day visit to Iran

Gen. Viktor Bondarev, Russian Air Force chief, arrived in Tehran Sunday and will visit Iranian Air Force, air defense and aerospace facilities, escorted by his counterpart, Brig. Gen. Hassan Shasafi. DEBKAfile: The main purpose of his visit is to resolve the dispute over the delayed delivery of Russian-made S-300 air defense missile systems to Iran, for whose delivery Tehran is pressing Moscow.
