Salafist ambush kills 24 Egyptian policemen in Sinai

Egyptian security forces reported that gunmen firing explosives, rockets, grenades and heavy machine guns stopped two police buses driving from Rafah to El Arish in northern Sinai Monday. They forced the Egyptian policemen to get out, shot 24 dead and injured several more. Egypt has shut the Sinai crossings into the Gaza Strip and Israel.
