Samantha Power new US ambassador to UN

Samantha Power, a National Security Council official, is expected to be named by President Barack Obama US ambassador to the United Nations. She will replace Susan Rice, who takes over from Tom Donilon as White House National Security Adviser.  DEBKAfile: Power is reputed to be one of Israel’s strongest opponents in the US administration.
