Security scare sparks emergency evacuation of Brussels train station
The central train station in Brussels was emptied and cordoned off by local security forces on Sunday after two suspicious suitcases were discovered. The police ordered the suspension of railway service and launched a search of the station and the nearby area. A police spokesman said the suitcases were found near lockers in the station and that officers "weren’t prepared to take any risks". However, the suitcases were later found to be harmless so the alert was cancelled.
