Senior foreign ISIS leaders taken prisoner in Raqqa operation

The US-backed SDF which captured Raqqa this week reported the capture of several senior foreign Islamic State leaders. ”We have foreign emirs … from all around the world,” said Talal Silo of the SDF. “They were captured in special operations, and some of them turned themselves in to our forces.”
The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an alliance of Kurdish and Arab militias, declared victory this week in Raqqa. Silo said the prisoners were under interrogation and would be put on trial, but said nothing about their repatriation.
