Shin Bet chief: 400 terror attacks foiled in 2017, including 13 suicides
Nadav Argaman, director of the Shin Bet domestic security agency, reported Sunday that 400 Palestinian terror attacks had been foiled in the current year, including 13 involving suicide bombers, 8 attempted abductions and 94 individual attacks. In his annual report to the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Security Committee, Argaman said that 2017 had been a year of extreme Palestinian volatility and this would continue due to the official Palestinian Authority’s policy of a constant outpouring of provocative incitement. Behind the surface normalcy most of the time, the Palestinian arena is seething, he said, while Hamas is doing its utmost to stir up violence in Judea and Samaria and make trouble for the rival Palestinian Authority.
