Syrian and Iraqi armies team up for the first time to fight ISIS

The Islamic State launched an attack Friday on Syrian government forces in the Syrian Desert east of Homs. DEBKA reports: Iraqi troops crossed the border to help the Syrian army ward of the attack. This was the first time the two armies had joined forces to repulse the Islamists.
