Terrorists still holding hostages on fourth day of Nairobi attack

The Somali Al-Shabaab issued a statement Tuesday reporting that the terrorists inside the Westgate shopping mall, with whom communications were established, say they are still battling the Kenyan military and are holding a large number of hostages, challenging official Kenyan claims. DEBKAfile’s counter-terror sources have found the Al Shabaab reports generally reliable.
The Kenyan foreign minister said that two or three Americans and a British woman known for her terrorist activity “in many places,” are involved in the terror operation.
