Two Israeli Arab parties may face charges for supporting Hizballah

Lawmakers of two Israeli Arab parties, Balad and Hadash, may face charges of treason for condemning the decision by the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Arab League to designate Hizballah a “terrorist organization.” Defining Hizballah a resistance movement, they accused the two regional Arab groupings of siding with Zionism instead of the interests of the Arab world. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu called their action “astonishing” when Hizballah rockets had struck Israel.
