UK bans gatherings of more than six
Social gatherings of more than six people will be illegal in England from next Monday – with some exemptions – amid a steep rise in coronavirus cases. A new legal limit will ban larger groups meeting anywhere socially indoors or outdoors, in private homes, restaurants and bars, the PMO announced. But it will not apply to schools, workplaces or Covid-secure weddings, funerals and organized team sports.
The UK ‘s latest daily coronavirus figure is 2,400. There have been more than 350,000 confirmed cases and more than 40,000 people have died.
