US Ambassador Haley: Israel-bashing at UN is over

The new US ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, drew thunderous applause at the AIPAC annual conference Monday night after every sentence of her speech: "We said the days of Israel-bashing are over. We have a lot of things to talk about, there are a lot of threats to peace and security, but you're not going to take our number one democratic friend in the Middle East and beat up on them,” she said. “And I think what you're seeing is, they're all backing up a little bit. The Israel-bashing is not as loud."

In her brief stint as ambassador, the former South Carolina governor has achieved some remarkable successes including forcing the UN to withdraw a report accusing Israel of apartheid. Nikki Haley now announced: “For anyone who says you can't get anything done at the U.N., they need to know there is a new sheriff in town."
