US defense chief will work from Israel aerospace industry guest quarters to avoid protest clamor
Anti-government judicial reform protesters plan major disruptions on Thursday including the functioning of Ben Gurion international airport. To save US defense secretary Lloyd Austin from these upsets, the Aerospace Industries at Lod have made their guest quarters available to him for his visit and interviews. His talks with PM Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Yoav Galant and Chief of Staff Herzl Halevi will take place there away from the clamor outside.
To evade blocked highways, Netanyahu will travel to the airport by helicopter to catch his flight to Italy.
