US places warships off coast of Yemen after Houthi missile strike
The US has sent two guided missile destroyers and an afloat forward staging base to patrol the waters off the coast of Yemen after Houthi rebels attacked a vessel from the UAE's fleet with an anti-ship missile. The Pentagon said Tuesday that the USS Mason, the USS Nitze and the USS Ponce are protecting the freedom of maritime traffic in the Bab el-Mandab Strait.
