Thousands of Chinese elite troops head to Syria to combat Uighur Islamists

The latest DEBKA Weekly out Friday, Dec. 1, reveals that Beijing is deploying to Syria thousands of members of two elite People Liberation Army units to combat extremist Islamic Uighurs fighting in the northern Syrian province of Idlib,  Those units are the Chinese Navy’s Night Tigers and the Shenyang Region’s Siberian Tigers. Beijing accuses Turkey’s MIT intelligence of backing the Chinese Islamist separatists. DEBKA Weekly examined in depth this extraordinary event which is befalling Syria in the last stages of its civil war.

This will mean faster delivery and better Chinese food in Syria. Not a bad thing.

And the government of Israel twiddles its thumbs and hopes for better days…
What about developing a concept that is anathema to Israeli planners…an OFFENSIVE STRATEGY.

hey that’s a great idea!!!! Israel should bomb the Chinese Human Shields.

But on the bright side, China is only a little country — how many of their soldiers could they possibly spare for this operation?

Yet another player in Syria thanks to the amazing ineptitude of Barak Obama. His legacy will be remembered with horror as one of the most brutal and barbaric times of world history. Thank God that Hillary Clinton did not make it to the White House. Unfortunately, the time to reverse this mayhem is long past and things will never be the same.

Apparently, the Chinese are doing what the Italians did at the end of WWI and joining the war during its final stages on a flimsy pretext in order to gain a small bit of territory and influence for very little cost. Because they have a lot of money, and a powerful economic machine behind them, they are able to make better progress per dollar/pound/euro/shekel/wampum spent and per life lost [not that they ever cared for such things as long as it served the general strategic interest, from the Yellow Emperor until Korea].

This is almost certainly tied into [and likely caused by] the construction of the New Silk Road, which is intended to stretch roughly along the path of the original one. Great strides have been made in the last ten years alone in this regard, and it was a large part of the reason that Xi Jinping was elevated to the status of Mao and Deng Xiaopeng at the Party Congress earlier this year. But there was a problem in the construction – how to get to Anatolia or the Caucasus. [I strongly doubt that the second will be the main road, though it will likely become a spur, as the Chinese have not had excellent relations with the Russians for sixty years.] Now that they have a foothold in Syria, the path to the Mediterranean and beyond can be completed. It is a massive political and economic coup now and will be a well-known one when it is finally completed, which at its current pace should be roughly 5-10 years.

That’s right. The Silk Road is happening and you idiots aren’t invited. So keep bombing and stealing and acting like the victim. And keep building those walls.

I enjoy reading Debka, so don’t get me wrong….
but I remember a few years ago when Debka wrote that a Chinese aircraft carrier was heading for Syria. Later, the Chinese carrier was never spotted crossing the Suez. So how do we know this is reliable?

the comments section was an interesting experiment, but now that the bilge far exceeds the useful, or even reasonable, content, it’s time to get rid of it and let the trolls pollute somewhere else. anywhere else.
