A large Hamas terrorist network busted in Qalqilya
A secret network of 24 Hamas activists was rounded up in Qalqilya Monday night following a combined covert operation by the IDF, the Shin Bet and police. The Hamas group had been set up as a regional command center in the northern West Bank for reviving terrorist attacks against Israel. Its orders and substantial funding came from higher Hamas authorities in Qatar and the Gaza Strip. Responsibility for exposing the network and nabbing its memb ers was shared by several Israeli undercover units, the IDF’s Duvdevan, Egoz, Duchifat and the Artillery Corps’ Reshef and Namer, as well as a Border Guards police special operations unit.
