Ahmadinejad arrives in Cairo
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad arrives in Cairo Tuesday and is welcomed by Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi. He leads the Iranian delegation to the 12th summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation which begins Feb. 6. This is the first visit to Cairo by an Iranian leader in three decades. DEBKAfile: Before he set out, Ahmadinejad said that a joint Egyptian-Iranian effort would make it possible to solve the Palestinian problem and allow him to pray on Temple Mount, Jerusalem. Solving the Palestinian problem in Iranian terms means wiping out the state of Israel.
